The MESR-100 V2 is an auto-ranging capacitor ESR and low Ohm meter with a measuring range of 0.001 to 100.0R, supporting in-circuit testing. It uses a true 100 KHz sine wave to measure the ESR value, which is equal to the testing method used by capacitor manufacturers. This allows the meter to measure the series resistor inside the capacitor accurately, as the 100 kHz frequency reduces the impedance 1/(2piF*C), making it possible to determine whether the capacitor is in good or bad condition.

The capacitance value refresh times are as follows: 0.000 to 1.000R 1%+2Digit - 0.4s, 1.000 to 10.00R 1%+1Digit - 0.4s, and 10.00 to 100.0R 2%+1Digit - 0.4s. It is important to note that the Capacitance Meter is used for testing the internal resistance of the capacitor, not for testing the capacitance value.

The MESR-100 V2 is powered by 2 * AA 1.5V batteries (not included) and has a battery life of over 80 hours. The package includes 1 * Capacitance Meter, 2 * Test Clips, 1 * SMD Clip, and 1 * User Manual.

Our capacitance ESR meter only applies less than 15mV DC or peak to peak on a good capacitor, allowing it to be used for in-circuit testing. The device is equipped with a SMD alligator clip for more accurate testing, and the copper plating on the surface is anti-corrosion and oxidation resistant.

The dual terminals allow for fast and easy inspection of the internal resistance of the capacitor or resistor, and a printed ESR table is provided for quick reference. During the repair of TVs, LCDs, Audio boards, and other electronics, this meter can be used to test whether the capacitors are in good or bad condition while the circuit is still in place.

The MESR-100 V2 has a wide measurement range of over 1uF and an accuracy of up to 1%. The measuring voltage is less than ~40mV RMS, and it is powered by a 5V micro USB external power source, with an operating current of 0.02A.
