The GM120S provides both self-leveling and manual modes. In self-leveling mode, the pendulum-locked tool will automatically level the laser beams when powered on. If the tool is ±4° out of the self-leveling range, the laser beams will flash rapidly to indicate the condition. In manual mode, the user can place the tool at any angle for alignment by long-pressing the V button.

For extended operating range, the GM120S offers a pulse mode. By long-pressing the H button on the laser level, the pulse mode can be activated, expanding the range to 200 feet. When used with the Takamine laser receiver, this feature enables the tool to be used in brighter environments.

Designed for durability, the Takamine laser level is encased in a TPR soft rubber housing, providing a comfortable grip and enhanced protection. Its waterproof and dustproof construction ensures reliable performance in challenging work conditions. Compared to red lasers at the same power, the green laser is twice as bright and has an operating range of up to 85 feet (300 LUX) with an accuracy of ±1/9 inch at 33 feet. The tool features 1 horizontal 360° plane and 2 vertical 360° planes, creating 12 laser lines that can cover the surrounding floors, walls, and ceilings.
